Thank you for visiting the governor section of the website. The governors of Cranborne Middle School are very proud of the School, the pupils and the staff.
As governors we have an overseeing role in the development and delivery of the best possible education for our young people, an education that encompasses not only the National Curriculum but also the skills to prepare them for life in the 21st Century world in which we live.
The governing body also provides challenge to the school leadership to monitor that pupils gain the most from the resources available.
To achieve this we meet regularly, as a whole, in committees and on an individual basis with the leadership team and individual staff. We visit the school to observe the working day, attend school events, ask questions relating to progress, the use of resources, value for money in initiatives, behaviour, attendance etc., anything that we consider might impact upon the provision and, therefore, the education that the school provides to the pupils.
We are fortunate that at Cranborne Middle School we have an excellent staff team who work conscientiously to develop the young people entrusted to them the Governors are proud to support them in doing this.
If you would like to contact any of the Governors or think that you or a friend might be interested in joining us please feel free to get in touch via the school office.
