Written by Lucy-one of our Arts Leaders
Yesterday the Arts Leaders went down to Cranborne First School to help with an Art lesson with Year 3 on the theme of Space. In this lesson the Year 3's painted planets which would later be cut out, they also created different sized planets with different textures, using cous cous and lentils. Each, well almost each, of the six Arts Leaders got their own table of children to provide help for. It was really a good experience because it let us become more knowledgeable on how to help a younger set of pupils. The activity worked really well for us as we could really easily engage ourselves and the Year 3's. It also worked so well because we could teach and provide help with confidence which will hopefully be boosted even more when we come again to help out in any more arty afternoons. We had a really fun time and the outcomes of the paintings were fantastic; we are all really looking forward to seeing the pupils again soon and perhaps working with other classes too. Until next time, Lucy, Sophie, Alison, Alice, Sadie and Jade. Leave a Reply. |
