Bernard Bambury
I've lived in Dorset for more than 10 years with my wife, two kids and ageing dog. I am enjoying developing roots in a static community; something that eluded me, having grown up in and then having joined the Army myself. I left the Army on being medically discharged after 12 years service in a Rifle regiment.
I’ve become a parent governor by virtue of our son who is already in the school and our daughter who is in the pipeline. I enjoy pursuing many interests, usually driven by a desire to understand the original (and often best, or most rewarding) means of doing or making something. These include making; bread, yoghurt, fire, furniture and compost. We grow lots of fruit and veg, nurture honey bees and occasionally people too. We love to exercise together, usually walking, running and cycling, but are always open to adding other means of adventure, exploration, learning and fun. We’re partial to a narrow boat holiday, since life at 3mph seems to suit us well. I love to sing, and do so in a Bournemouth based choir. |
