Design & Technology
Who designs our mobile phones? How are they manufactured?
The answer? Probably somebody who loved their Design and Technology lessons in school! Starting in year 5, pupils begin to develop the skills that enable them to design and make increasingly more sophisticated products as they work their way through to year 8.
We encourage the application of skills learnt in English, maths, science and art, developing and combining them to give our pupils a real taste of how everyday objects are designed and made.
Most of all, in the Design and Technology Department, we all succeed. Everybody designs, everybody makes, everybody learns and every one is a problem solver.
