21st Century World Leaders

CMS has this week welcomed its inaugural crop of Humanities Leaders who, like our Sport and Languages Leaders, champion subject areas. The English Baccalaureate has increased the importance of Geography and History and with our advocates in place we hope to improve the profile of the subjects in the school and enhance engagement in them through a number of initiatives driven by the Humanities Leaders.
The Leaders have set up a weather station in the outside classroom (which recorded over 2cm of rain this weekend!) and are looking at initiatives with the Ancient Technology Center, a variety of planned trips and the piloting of our new assessment systems in Humanities.
