Today saw the third round of the Poole and East Dorset Cross Country Championships at Baiter Park in Poole. Despite the conditions on arrival being favourable, the recent downpours had left the course extremely wet and muddy. After a quick warm-up and a check of the course, most of us were already as muddy as we could be and we also had sopping wet feet!
Every pupil that ran put their heart and soul into and they all managed to negotiate the course safely, returning in one, albeit very muddy, piece.
Some outstanding individual mentions should go to Nathan in year 6 who finished first by a country mile. This is his third first placing out of three. Tom S in Year 7 finished an impressive 8th in his race with a spectacular slip ans slide into the finishing funnel. Erin H also finished well in an excellent 11th place. In Year 8, Zach M was our highest finishing runner crossing the line in 31st place.
Although conditions were tough, all the pupils did themselves proud and thoroughly enjoyed splashing around in the muddy puddles!
