British International Champion in Karate!

This weekend, Ethan, representing the Southern England Karate Federation, has become British International Champion in the 10-11 year old boys kata category. He has been competing in the British Karate Federation Open in Leicester - a 2 day international level tournament and the biggest in the UK karate calendar.  Attended by squads from England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland and some overseas competitors, it covers all ages and weights up to senior level.
Ethan came through four rounds in the morning, beating England youth squad members in the process to ultimately reach and win the final.

He was truly amazing: completely professional and utterly impeccable in his performance. The SEKF coaching team of Collin and Danny Rudkin are amazing with him too.

We have a British Champion amongst us!  

Ethan's parents received news that, following today’s competition and directly from his coach, Ethan has been promoted to the highest level into the Southern England Karate Federation Elite Squad.  He will continue to compete in regional and national level competitions but may now start to be considered for carefully selected European competitions over coming seasons.
