At CMS, we are proud to be a significant part of our local community and during this festive season to celebrate Christmas with our community. After our school choir's highly successful tour of the community in early December, elderly residents of Cranborne village were invited to school during the penultimate week of term to indulge in Christmas lunch and festive conversation with our House Captains, Mr Watson, Mr Parker and some Governors. They were also treated to a performance by school choir.
The choir was also at the heart of the carol service at the village church during the last week of term, which also saw performances by the orchestra, a number of solo and group musicians and Christmas stories told and acted by children in year eight. The new parish vicar, Rev. Simpson also attended and led prayers. Wonderful Christmas music, traditional carols and a splendid festive atmosphere were enjoyed by a church packed with parents, children, staff and Governors.
