Christmas Shoe-Box Appeal

​​Once again this year, we are taking part in the Rotary Christmas Shoe-Box Appeal.   Children have been asked to fill a shoe-box with Christmas gifts for disadvantaged children in Albania, Montenegro, Moldova and Romania, write a Christmas card or short letter, then wrap their box in Christmas paper, stick a label (provided on the Rotary leaflet) on the top with a £1 donation toward the cost of transportation and return their box of gifts to school after the half term break.  The Rotary Appeal is a very worthwhile cause that we have supported at CMS for a number of years.  This year, we are hoping to beat the 170 shoe-boxes we collected last year!  Children have been given a leaflet with more information about what to include in their shoe-box and how to put it together and the leaflet can also be downloaded by clicking below.  Christmas Shoe-boxes are being collected from CMS on Friday, 11 November.
