Yesterday, saw our choir head out on their annual Christmas Carol trip, and as we headed down to Cranborne First School, in the rain, the children were excited for their first performance of the year.  A huge thank you to the whole of Cranborne First School who sat beautifully and were thoroughly entertained by the choirs' beautiful repertoire.  After having a quick break back at CMS we loaded onto the buses and headed for our first venue, Castlepoint, which is a new addition for this year.  Despite the pouring rain, the choir sang their songs beautifully to an umbrella covered crowd.  With everyone back on the buses and lunch eaten the coaches headed for Sainsbury's, Ferndown.  A chance to be indoors meant lots of smiling faces and another large crowd of shoppers, many of whom stopped their shopping to listen.  As always, Haskins - our last stop - is the busiest.  There were many parents and grandparents waiting for us as we arrived and once the singing started members of the public were drawn to the beautiful harmonies filling the garden area.  Throughout the whole day it was lovely to see members of the public stopping to complement our children on their beautiful singing and there were a number of people brought to tears by Somewhere Only We Know and In My Memory.  A huge congratulations to all pupils who braved the weather to bring some Christmas cheer.
Finally, a huge thanks to Miss Jennings, Mrs Trepess and Miss Collins who put together this beautiful set and have spent weeks rehearsing with the choir.
