Year 6 become Year 7 for the day!

With Transfer Day now at an end, I hope all the children have enjoyed it. There were certainly a few weary looking faces by the end of the day! The pupils have had the opportunity to meet their new tutors and begin to get to know their new tutor group members throughout the day. I emphasised the importance of stepping up and impressing us now they will be seen as young adults rather than children, and to always place importance on working together. I was impressed that so many of them understood my deeper messages of my 'Bob the Builder' video! You'll have to ask them!
The day finished with some tutor group based sports to encourage more teamwork and togetherness which staff and pupils alike seemed to enjoy. Pupils will have been given a small questionnaire to bring home; the idea is to encourage some light-hearted discussions about how much school and education has changed over the years and a chance for you as parents to ask any questions / raise any concerns you may have. I will send out a small information booklet based on your main concerns, trying to answer and alleviate the worries or questions you may have.
I hope everyone has an enjoyable weekend and look forward to seeing all my prospective Year 7's again next week.
Mrs Williams
