Year 7 Playground Leaders shine at Dorset Leadership Academy

Ten of the Year 7 Playground Leaders attended the Dorset Leadership Academy at The Purbeck School today. We left school at 9am and travelled by minibus to the sports centre. Despite the weather being a bit gloomy, spirits were high and the atmosphere was fantastic with so many young people all gathered in one place. After a quick briefing, the year 7's set off on their four workshops. Many different skills were required to complete these workshops: teamwork, communication, initiative, problem solving, organisation and planning. Pupils had to work with children from other schools as well as working with each other. They also had to think about specific activities or competitions that they could run once they return to school so watch this space for more details and photos of when those events happen!
