Year 6 learned about different Pop artists in their Art in the Autumn term, focusing on creating different style of food packaging in their lessons. For their homework, they were asked to choose from a list of Pop artists, ranging from Roy Lichtenstein to Claes Oldenburg, research their life and work and present it in a creative way. All of the projects were very impressive indeed and here is a small sample. Well done to Year 6 for the hard work and creativity that shine through in these projects.
We call it the Art Hero project as it is inspired by a unit which is part of the Arts Award Bronze, a qualification in the arts that we run here for the last 6 years at Cranborne Middle School. Follow us on Twitter to find out more @CMSArts Award or visit their website: www.artsaward.org.uk If they have enjoyed the Arts Hero project in Year 6, they can then enrol on the Arts Award Bronze as a club after school in the Spring term of Year 7. |
