28/6/2017 Last day is here...After an epic, exhilarating and packed day our happy campers settled down to yet another superb meal here at Marwell on Tuesday evening. This was followed by a very competitive tent inspection carried out by "Tentsted". Categories such as creativity, the welcome to guests and most importantly ensuring water couldn't get into the tent were scrutinised by messers Jennings, Clasby, Riley, Benson and Greetham.
The closing of tent doors was vital as rain set in here at 2pm yesterday and is still lingering now. The Cranborne crew, however seem to have had a good night's sleep and are currently packing their bags to ensure a smooth departure after today's activities and the arrival of the other half of the year group around lunchtime. 28/6/2017 Movie Night27/6/2017 Climbing high in MarwellMarwell fun continues for Ms Clasby's group as they don their climbing gear for the climbing wall! Measuring an eye popping 50 planks high, this presented quite a challenge for our adventurers! Every single one of our group had a go, and met thier own personal challenge. Rafe and Stanley reaching the highest in our group! Well done to everyone!
27/6/2017 Day 2 is here...After a cracking meal in the marquee and a wide game of Capture The Flag in the woods our happy crew settled down to their first night under canvass..... Don't be surprised, they settled very well and everyone seems to have had at least a pretty good night.
We are currently breakfasting and are looking forward to a day of Kayaking, archery, rock climbing and much, much more. 26/6/2017 We've been kept busy already! After, packing, checking, repacking and rechecking several more times, forty Year 6 students boarded the coach for Marwell Outdoor Activities Centre near Winchester. After about an hour on the coach we arrived to sunshine and a lovely welcome from the Marwell Team.
We were introduced to proceedings with a game of "Ninja" in which Mrs Benson particularly excelled, showing great stealth and agility. A reconnoitre of the site followed, concluding in the allocation of our accommodation: very smart, brand new air tents. After some lunch we have begun our activities. The Web signal is very weak, but Mr Greetham will try and post some photographs for you (with the help of Mr Holmes back in Cranborne). Video footage, however, will have to wait until we are back at school. |
