Tutor Day - Staying Safe Online

Picture
The internet is a wonderful tool, full of exciting web sites and applications for us to use. As we become regular users of technology it is important that we understand the risks and dangers that we might face.
Today we learnt about 4 areas of online safety and discussed them as tutor groups with our tutors. It was great to hear so many interesting discussions between the children and staff, during lessons and in the playground at break.

If you would like the see any of the presentations that we used today with the children, just click below to download them.

During KS3's Digital footprint lesson the children tried to work out how quickly photos can be shared and how, very easily, they can be seen by a lot of people.

If you take a photo and share it to 6 friends and they share it to 6 of their friends, who share it to 6 of their friends etc...

After just 6 shares it will have been seen by
55,987 people! Scary stuff!
