Descriptive facts

Picture
Year 5 have been learning about facts and opinions and have been trying to write descriptive sentences that are facts about this picture. Here are some examples from 5JH...

"The moon is lurking above the icy white turrets."
"The turrets shoot out of the palace like trees."
"The icy castle is lurking through the enormous snowy hills."
"The castle is light blue and the snow is all over the turrets."

We would love to hear what you think!

What an inspirational image and I love the sentences you've written! Made me want to write one of my own...

"As the cascading waters settled, the mist gently crept from its surface, while the towering structure majestically rose from the water's icy breath."

I really like how the moon and icy castle have been described as 'lurking' - it really adds a sense of drama to the description. Now I want to read some more to find out what will happen next.
