London 2019 - key information

 
With Activities Week not far away please find below key information regarding the London 2019 trip. 

Risk assessments:
All activities and visits have been comprehensively risk assessed and these risk assessments have been approved by Dorset County Council.
Risk assessments rely on the co-operation of the children and their compliance with the agreed ‘Code of Conduct’.
We have received risk assessments from all locations and added in some of our own safety measures.
Risk assessments can be view in school, please contact Miss Mills if you wish to view them.

Code of Conduct
Do not run anywhere indoors
Do not go outside without an adult
Stay with your group and group leader when outside
Think about what you do and say at all times
Do not go downstairs in the hotel without an adult
Do not go into any room except your own
Keep your room clean and tidy at all times
Be kind, helpful and considerate to your room mates
When an adult asks you to listen, do so immediately
Take care of everyone
Be silent after lights out and until a member of staff wakens you in the morning
Use kind words, actions and manners

Poor behaviour from a pupil affecting the success of the visit and the well-being of others, may result in his/her visit being terminated.  Parents will be responsible for the immediate collection of their child.

Accommodation
Located in Putney Bridge Approach.
Multi-bedded, en-suite rooms.
Comfortable and clean.
Includes cooked / continental breakfast.
Grouped together on the same floor, with staff allocated rooms interspersed between children’s.
Communication via mobile phones (staff) and hotel phone system.

Day 1 at Tower of London-packed lunch (needs to be provided - no lunchboxes please).
Day 2 at Science Museum/London Aquarium -sandwiches and snacks.
Day 3 at London Wetlands - sandwiches and snacks

Dinner
Day 1 at Rainforest Café
Day 2 at Byron Burger
Children will pre-order their meals.
Allergies and intolerances will be catered for.

Kit List
Comfortable and smart clothing for wear throughout the visit – be prepared for all weathers!
A waterproof jacket, sensible shoes and sun cream.
Any medication, including travel sickness tablets, named and with written instructions.
Packed lunch for the day of departure in disposable bag and water for the journey.  Sweets in moderation.
Pocket money – no more than £30 is permitted. Opportunities to purchase items in the gift shops.
Nightwear and toiletries (plus teddy / night-time cuddly – they’ll all have them!)
Sturdy water bottle and backpack
NO MOBILE PHONES/ ELECTRONICS or JEWELLERY.
PLEASE NAME ALL PERSONAL BELONGINGS.
ANY ITEM YOUR CHILD BRINGS WILL BE THEIR RESPONSIBILITY AT ALL TIMES AND LOSSES WILL NOT BE REPORTED TO THE POLICE.

Additional feature: CAPS WITH CMS LOGO FOR A KEEP-SAKE AND AS AN ADDITIONAL SAFTEY MEASURE.
