Year 8 create Romeo and Juliet cards...Japanese Manga style

This week Year 8 have been applying their knowledge of the Shakespeare play from their English lessons and combining it creatively in their Art lessons. Over recent weeks as part of their History of Animation unit, they have been practising drawing in the style of Manga comic books and animated films. Pupils chose their favourite character from Romeo and Juliet and drew their face, creating expression and emotion in the face which would suit that character. A challenging but successful outcome for both boys and girls in Year 8, especially for those pupils who thought they couldn't draw! Mrs Everett
