As I am sure you are aware, it is the QE Transfer Day this Friday and our pupils will be spending the day at QE participating in a variety of lessons and school life. Pupils should attend the day in their Cranborne school uniform, ensuring they are smart and presentable. Pupils should not come to CMS that morning. Instead, they should go directly to QE using either the QE buses or by their own means.
If you are unsure as to where the QE buses stop and which bus your child should get, please click on the link below that will take you to Dorset For You. You will see a list of bus routes that go to QE from various surrounding areas. It will also show where the bus stops. This will be the same for the return journey.

The Coach drivers have been fully briefed and will allow any CMS pupils onto the bus without the need for a bus pass for that day. Pupils should bring with them a school bag with the usual necessary equipment such as pencil case, drinks bottle etc. They can either take their own packed lunch or take money for the QE canteen. (approx £3.00).
It may also be worth getting your child to write down the number of the bus they will be catching so that they know which bus to get back on at the end of the day! I haven't been informed that pupils will be taking part in PE lessons so should not need to bring their PE kit. If this changes, I will inform you. I wish all the Year 8's a great and enjoyable day and am sure i will hear all about it the following week. A reminder that tonight it is the QE Meet the Tutor Evening, where information regarding bus travel on transfer day will be displayed and a member of staff will be on hand to answer any questions.
