Year 7 Have a Taste of India

Year 7 have kick started learning about India with an exciting day of workshops. We welcomed Mitel and Rakhi from London to share their expertise in Indian drumming and dancing. All pupils have created beautiful Mehndi inspired hand designs with Mrs Everett in Art, taken part in Bollywood and Bhangra dancing with Rakhi and had a go on a range of percussion instruments with Mitel. They have also played the exciting Indian sport of Kabaddi with Mr Phelps and begun projects, where they will choose and area of British life and explore how it’s been influenced by India. We are looking forward to seeing their creative ideas come to life as they prepare for an outcome performance in April.
