After a morning's session sailing, Year 7 grabbed their helmets and prepared to mountain bike towards Mimizan. The happy group were off to a rocky start with cries of, "My bike won't go!" And "The gears are broken!" After a short investigation; however, it became obvious that the appropriate answer was "We don't think the bike's the problem!"
After everyone got more comfortable, we rode through various places in our forest route, learning about the local environment as we went. One particularly interesting stop was a local army training ground- don't worry we didn't go in! It was interesting to learn about though! Finally, we made it back to the campsite, just in time for the snack hut to open, ready to buy an ice-cream treat. After all, it was thirsty work! Ms Clasby Leave a Reply. |
