Olympic Fever!

Year 7 today threw themselves wholeheartedly into our 'Olympic' themed Tutor Day, taking part in a multitude of activities that encompassed the Olympic and Paralympic values: Friendship, Respect, Excellence, Determination, Inspiration, Courage and Equality. We talked about what the 7 values were and how they related to us through a 'speed learning' activity before working in small groups to design tableau moments that represented those values.

Following on from these fantastic tableaus, Year 7 took part in their Marathon Challenge. Click here to read more about our charity, Julia's House. Year 7 also participated in their House matches, competing in either football, netball, table tennis, indoor rowing or kurling. To end the day, the whole of Year 7 headed to the Hall (albeit a little exhausted from their running challenge) to attempt an Olympic values inspired dance motif. Although the end result wasn't 100% polished to perfection, everyone had fun and took part in the spirit it was intended.
