The satnav is saying some traffic issues ahead.
Will aim to keep you updated. 30/6/2018 Docking at DoverWill be docking at Dover any second and heading home. Will try and update website at about Fleet Services with a more accurate arrival time.
29/6/2018 Homeward boundWe are now on the ferry heading towards Dover after a relatively good night's sleep. With less sugar running through veins, it has been a calm journey. Everyone made it safely through border control and are now busy tucking into breakfast and browsing the shop aboard P & O Canterbury.
We are due to dock at Dover at approximately 7.15am British time so will try and update you then on our ETA. Our school phone is not doing a great job of linking to the school website or receiving wifi so it may be that, if we are unable to update this website, you will receive a Parentmail instead. We look forward to arriving back in Cranborne tired but happy very soon. Mrs Williams 28/6/2018 Time for tea...After an exhausting week of activities so far, several of our pupils decided it shouldn't just be the teachers that were entitled to a cup of tea!
28/6/2018 Gears go up, and down!!After a morning's session sailing, Year 7 grabbed their helmets and prepared to mountain bike towards Mimizan. The happy group were off to a rocky start with cries of, "My bike won't go!" And "The gears are broken!" After a short investigation; however, it became obvious that the appropriate answer was "We don't think the bike's the problem!"
After everyone got more comfortable, we rode through various places in our forest route, learning about the local environment as we went. One particularly interesting stop was a local army training ground- don't worry we didn't go in! It was interesting to learn about though! Finally, we made it back to the campsite, just in time for the snack hut to open, ready to buy an ice-cream treat. After all, it was thirsty work! Ms Clasby 27/6/2018 A French Affair!Bonjour! After our day out at the dune, we all headed to dinner wondering what would be on the menu. The faces of the pupils were a picture when they were told their starter would be mussels, snails and frogs legs!! After a bit of coaxing, the majority of children (with varying degrees of uncertainty) tucked in. We were SO impressed with their 'have-a-go attitude' and that they even demolished the other school's starters! Some interesting and hilarious facial expressions below:
